Silicone Heater Mats
Cold Pressing Veneers and laminating shaped panels without heat can present problems with the time taken for the adhesive to cure. All woodworking glues are temperature sensitive with pressing times of 2 hours for UF Resins at 20 degrees C and 4 hours at 15 degrees C. This can lead to bottlenecks in production.
With the new AirPress Heater Mats pressing times can be reduced to a matter of minutes at a fraction of the cost of other heating systems.
AirPress Heater Mats have been developed specifically for use with Vacuum Presses and can be used on vacuum bag press systems (with a polyurethane bag) as well as vacuum membrane presses.
The mats are manufactured with a built in temperature sensor to regulate the temperature to around 80°C. Please note, temperatures will fluctuate above and below 80°C as the sensor switches on and off. Additional temperature regulators are not required. To use the Heater Mats, just place them into a single phase socket.
The Heater Mats are modular in two widths, 400mm and 600mm with 4 different lengths to accommodate a range of panel sizes. A metre wide panel would take a 400mm and a 600mm mat side by side for example.
